Myreka Contributes to Judging for the Keysight i-CIPTA Challenge

Myreka continued our involvment in the CEO Faculty Programme by contributing to judging for the i-CIPTA Challenge. Myreka also sponsored the Best Presentation Award.


The i-CIPTA Challenge is a mentoring programme for final year engineering & computer science students, and its aim is to inspire a passion for STEM and promote a creative, explorative, and innovative culture in engineering design works focusing on real-world issues using engineering solutions.

Myreka Contributes Towards Test & Measurement Hub

Kuala Lumpur, 23 Mar 2018


Myreka successfully developed new and differentiated technologies through R&D under the Test & Measurement Hub initiative, spearheaded by Keysight Technologies in collaboration with the Northern Corridor Implementation Authority (NCIA). Myreka and CEEDTec, as design partners for Keysight have co-developed 26 local products for the global market and created 36 IPs under this programme. The rapid expansion of Myreka and CEEDTec has also spawned a second tier of local ecosystem partners and created over 200 jobs.


Collaboration between Keysight Technologies, Myreka and CEEDTec in the area of test and measurement resulted in the establishment of a Machinery and Equipment Shared Services Facility in Bayan Lepas, Penang

Myreka Contributes to Judging for the IEEE SS12 Design Competition

Myreka teamed up with other industry experts from NI, ViTrox and Minoyo to provide judging for the IEEE SS12 Engineering Project Competition held at @CAT Penang.


A total of 18 groups from various public and private universities in Malaysia presented and demonstrated their project designs. The winning entry was an artificial eye that helps the visually impaired carry out their everyday tasks, including identifying food labels.






Myreka gives Introduction to Test talk to Engineering Students

Myreka continued contributing towards the CEO Faculty Programme by conducting a technical talk titled Introduction to Test for engineering students of the Politeknik Tuanku Sultanah Bahiyah.


The talk covered important test and measurement concepts such as resolution, accuracy, repeatability and traceability. The students were also advised on the job requirements and career opportunities for test positions in R&D, manufacturing and metrology.

Myreka sponsored the Women In The Workplace forum organised by the Students Representative Council of the USM Engineering Campus on 26 Apr 2017.


Four panelists shared their views on gender equality in the workplace and how to achieve an egalitarian society--Datuk Dr. Mazlan Othman from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Dr. Waitchalla RRV Suppiah from the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development, Loo Lee Lian from Invest Penang, and Nazlina Quadir from Women Techmakers KL. The forum was moderated by Ashley Suelyn from Lean In Malaysia.

Myreka Participates in CEO Faculty Programme

Myreka contributed to the CEO Faculty Programme by providing a series of technical and career talks for students and lecturers of the Politeknik Tuanku Sultanah Bahiyah, Kulim. The talks were given by the Myreka senior management team at the polytechnic’s Kulim campus and at the Keysight Technologies plant in Penang.


The career talks provided the students with insights into the demands of a career in R&D as well as invaluable tips on selecting the right engineering job and preparing themselves for the workforce.


Myreka Participates in Kelantan Flood Relief

The floods that hit the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia in December 2014 were the worst in the history of Kelantan state. Myreka seized the opportunity to help by taking part in the Flood Relief Program organized by Keysight Technologies. The relief effort aimed to rebuild lives by helping schools and students hard hit by the floods. Four schools were chosen to receive assistance: SK Tanah Merah 1, SJK Yuk Cheng, SK Ladang Kerilla, and SK Sokor.


The assistance consists of clean-up and repainting activities in the affected schools, books, interactive science activities for the schoolchildren, and monetary donations to the affected schools and students.

Myreka Participates in UniMAP Career Carnival

UniCITI ALAM Campus, Perlis, 18 Mar 2014


Myreka participated in the UniMAP career carnival held at the UniCITI ALAM campus on 18 Mar 2014. At the carnival, scores of eager engineering students converged upon our booth to find out about the career prospects for R&D engineers.


To spark the students’ interest in design and development, we conducted a demonstration of a typical design project – a measurement board which analyses the audio quality of a smartphone. From the demonstration, the students learnt to appreciate the multi-disciplinary effort that goes into developing technologies that enrich our lives.




Myreka Gives Career Talk at UTAR Industrial Exposure Day

Kampar, Perak, 9 Mar 2014


Myreka’s senior management team gave a career talk to Computer Engineering students of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, UTAR. They advised the students on how to prepare for the workforce and gave tips on making themselves more marketable.


The students were encouraged to talk to their seniors in the working world to find out the requirements for their dream job, and work towards acquiring the knowledge and skillsets needed to succeed. They were also reminded that reading books alone would never make them good engineers – they need to start developing practical skills and master the tools of their trade while still in university.
